SRA Core Values. We believe that our success is grounded on the core values that we have stressed since our founding in 1978: an ethic of honesty and service; quality work and customer satisfaction; and caring about our people. SRA has been chosen by FORTUNE magazine as one of the "100 Best Companies to Work For" for seven consecutive years, which we believe reflects the pride our employees take in the culture fostered by our core values. We are committed to maintaining these values as a cornerstone of our business.
Our success in Independent Verification and Validation is encompassed in the following examples. Click on the headers for additional information.
RELEVANCE TO DHS
- USPTO processes patents and trademark information. By disseminating both patent and trademark information, the USPTO promotes global understanding of IP protection and facilitates the development and sharing of new technologies worldwide.
- The IV&V support for USPTO requires SRA to be the curator of both USPTO internal user requirements and requirements generated by multiple outside stakeholders. These external requirements include interfaces to foreign government patent systems, patent attorneys' delivery systems, and public law mandating data dissemination to multiple public databases. Ensuring compliance for DHS systems development will require similar types of compliance issues addressing multiple outside stakeholder concerns.
US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
In July 2004, SRA was awarded a competitive, five-year contract to provide information technology product assurance independent verification & validation (IV&V) services in support of the US Patent and Trademark Office.
Our technical approach to IV&V has been used successfully for more than 11 years at USPTO.
- Based on the SEI CMM/CMMI and ISO 9000
- Accommodates traditional, as well as "state of the art" software development models
- Provides increased ease of maintaining AIS deliverables.
This results in improved project coordination, increased quality and efficiency, management visibility, and control of information technology.
- SRA has been involved with the program since 1996. In addition to IV&V, utilizing NIST, and other Federal guidelines, SRA worked with HHS and the Social Security Administration's (SSA) to accomplish the certification and accreditation of FPLS.
Federal Parent Locator Service (FPLS)
In 2005, SRA was awarded a task order to assist the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) in managing and monitoring the development, implementation, operation, maintenance, technical support, and enhancement of the expanded Federal Parent Locator Service.
Other SRA Recognition
SRA has been recognized as an information technology (IT) industry leader by clients, industry associations, and business and technology publications.
